Weather conditions are expected to improve

The National Meteorological Office (ONAMET) announced that a less humid environment will prevail this Sunday due to an anticyclonic system and Saharan dust particles, thus predicting a morning of low rainfall at the national level.

However, in the afternoon, local showers with possible thundershowers are forecast for the southeast, northeast, and Central Cordillera, such as Hato Mayor, El Seibo, María Trinidad Sánchez, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, San José de Ocoa, San Juan, Elías Piña, and Pedernales, among others, due to the interaction of the wind with the orography and the daytime heating.

On Monday, weather conditions will be dominated by the arrival of an anticyclonic system over our forecast area. This system will favor a sunny environment, a little cloudy, and little rainfall.

Temperatures will be hot for the time of year, plus the prevailing wind from the southeast. However, in the afternoon, daytime warming and local effects will cause cloudiness to increase towards the mountain systems, the southeast, and the center of the country, where isolated showers are expected.
