Abinader calls on international supporters of Haiti to label armed gangs as terrorist organizations

Santo Domingo.- Following a recent shooting incident involving a Spirit Airlines plane en route to Haiti, President Luis Abinader condemned the attack by Haitian armed gangs and warned of the potential for tragedy. The aircraft, which sustained around seven bullet impacts, made an emergency landing at Cibao International Airport. Abinader urged international supporters of Haiti, like the U.S., to classify Haitian armed gangs as terrorist organizations, a step the Dominican Republic has already taken.

During La Semanal con la Prensa, Abinader expressed frustration with the ongoing violence in Haiti and warned that Dominican authorities treat these gangs as terrorists, emphasizing the consequences they would face if entering Dominican territory. He stressed the urgency for global action against these groups, calling the shooting “a terrorist act” and highlighting the danger posed by such incidents.

The incident follows a series of violent events in Haiti, including attacks on a UN helicopter, U.S. embassy vehicles, and prior disruptions at Toussaint Louverture International Airport, which recently halted operations temporarily.

This is crazy that Joe Biden has not declare those gangsters as terrorists after they shot at a civilian aircraft full of civilian passengers.

Joe Biden can barely remember when his birthday is and he confused Zelenskyy for Putin.. I wouldn’t count on this man to do anything.

There are many questions here…
1 -> Where do trhose gangs get their weapons from… Haiti does not manufacture weapons…
2 -> there is a weapon embargo to haiti imposed by the USA… So the end result is that the haitian police is way way under equiped and gangs are way more equiped than them. So haitian authority can not get weapons but criminals smuggle weapons to haiti to gangs.
3 -> Sending international forces won’t sole anything… As long as the UN and the US prevent haiti from defending itself, it will forever be in a violence spirale because as soon as the international force leaves, it will leave a power vaccum that armed groups will very soon fill…
4 -> Haitian leaders are plain stupid (or criminal and profit from this chaos)… The UN refuse to send you weapons so you can not defend yourself and portray you as the ungovernable embarassment… Buy weapons from Russia, I am sure Russia does not give to damn about what the US think… Stop begging for help, stop denouncing deportation and DO YOUR F@#!ing job… As leaders you should be ready to go to any length to defend your population… Who cares what the UN will think, they are literally letting your people die, being stateless and threated worse than animals abroad…

Either they do not want this crisis to end because they are profiting from it or they are still slaves in their minds
