Dajabón.- A delegation from the Guatemalan Embassy in the Dominican Republic, led by business representative Guadalupe Marroquín and military attaché General Méndez Diva, visited the border area of Dajabón on Thursday. The tour included key locations such as the binational bridge and the local border market, aiming to assess commercial activity and security measures in the region.

During the visit, Marroquín described the trip as a gesture of friendship and an opportunity to better understand the facilities and operations at the border. General Méndez Diva also addressed Guatemala’s role in the multinational mission in Haiti, noting that 150 military police officers from his country are contributing to stabilization efforts there.

The diplomatic delegation was received by Dominican military authorities, who accompanied them throughout the visit and provided insights into border security operations.
