Global Innovator Jonathan J Mentor to Support Dominican Startups at INDOTEL 4.0 International Congress

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. – A prominent figure in the American and Dominican innovation ecosystems, Jonathan J. Mentor, has officially signed on as a startup trainer for INDOTEL’s first I+D Lab for INDOTEL’s International Congress 4.0. The event will take place at the Hotel Jaragua in Santo Domingo on May 6th and 7th.
Mentor will collaborate with a distinguished panel of leaders driving the Dominican technology and innovation scene. They aim to train and nominate the most exceptional and innovative Dominican startups for the INDOTEL 4.0 International Congress. Nominees will receive national recognition and access to resources designed to accelerate their growth.
The institution INDOTEL explains that those selected will receive intensive training in key technologies to develop and strengthen their technological skills; they will also have access to free mentoring with strategic resources imported by national and international specialists.
Also through R&D LAB, the telecommunications regulatory institution seeks to foster the creation of new high-quality technology companies, boost the digital economy and the country’s competitiveness, position the Dominican Republic as a leader in innovation and business transformation in the region, promote the generation of industrial patents, and strengthen national intellectual property.
Mentor will provide expertise in revenue operations (RevOps) and strategic growth planning to the cohort of admitted startups.
“Between President Luis Abinader’s ‘Silicon Beach’ announcement to Entrepreneurship Law 655-16 being ratified into Dominican law, the conditions are improving for the Dominican startup ecosystem. I’ve joined the project to accelerate results and continue the work of the Provoke Visibility Campaign to provide underrepresented startups with modern resources and enable better economic outcomes,” said Mentor.
Individuals aged 14 and over with groundbreaking ideas in AI, IoT, blockchain, cybersecurity, or Big Data were encouraged to submit their projects. Participants have the opportunity to win intensive training, mentorship, and the chance to launch their own technology company.
This is a chance for talented entrepreneurs to be part of the future of Industry 4.0 in the Dominican Republic.
