President launches tourist port of Samaná

Yesterday, President Luis Abinader oversaw a noon meeting with the community, “El Gobierno Contigo,” which was held at the Liceo Julio César de Jesús Asencio in the province of San Cristóbal, with the participation of representatives from state social assistance institutions.

Today at 10:30 a.m., he will head to the site of the tourist port’s construction in the town of Arroyo Barril to promote cruise tourism.

He will then participate in the presentation of the TRAE program in the Samaná province “to guarantee safe, comfortable, and free school transportation for the students of the area.” He will also tour the port and the Samaná Bayport promenade and have lunch with provincial authorities and communicators.

Then, he will inaugurate the Santa Barbara de Samaná church and the gazebo of the park. He will end the day on Sunday with the inauguration of the Malecon of Samaná.
