Migration authorities warn of E-Ticket scams targeting travelers

Santo Domingo.- The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) has issued a warning about fake websites charging travelers for the official e-ticket required to enter or leave the Dominican Republic—a service that is completely free.

These fraudulent platforms imitate the official government website, requesting payments and personal data. The DGM, in coordination with the National Cybersecurity Center, is working to shut them down and urges users to verify that they are on the official site.

Travelers are advised not to enter information or make payments on unofficial websites. The DGM reminds the public that e-tickets are free and only available through the official government portal.
