Dominican Consulate in Madrid honors Spanish Police for support

Madrid.- The Dominican Republic’s Consulate General in Madrid recognized four members of the Spanish National Police for their exceptional support to the consular mission and the Dominican community in vulnerable situations. Honorees included Chief Inspector José Manuel Ramos Matilla, Alejandro Alonso Nieto, Fernando Luis Castillo Durán, and Antonio Martín Albacete Presa.

Consul General José Marte Piantini highlighted the officers’ crucial role in assisting Dominicans who face travel disruptions, deportation, or safety risks abroad. Their mediation has helped ensure safe returns for citizens stranded in conflict zones or during flight suspensions. Marte Piantini emphasized that this collaboration strengthens the consulate’s capacity to provide immediate assistance and reflects the close cooperation between Spanish authorities and the Dominican Republic, a partnership aimed at protecting the rights and well-being of Dominicans in Madrid.
