Jarabacoa Little League team represents the Dominican Republic in the Bronx

New York.- This past weekend, the Bronx became the stage for a powerful message of hope, unity, and international friendship. Over 200 children from around the world gathered for a special Little League tournament organized by Gabriel Balcacer (New York Fever) —an event that proved once again that baseball is more than a game; it’s a global language of peace.
I had the privilege of witnessing this unforgettable experience, where young athletes played with joy, passion, and mutual respect. Among the standout participants was the Little League team from Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, proudly led by team president Irving Flete (WBO). Their presence brought energy, culture, and a spirit of unity that lit up the field.
Seeing the children from Jarabacoa connect with players from different backgrounds reminded us all of a powerful truth: Children are seeking unity and peace in the world.
In a time where the world faces so many challenges, events like this show us what’s truly possible when we come together through sports, respect, and love. Because when kids play together, nations grow closer. And when we teach unity on the field, we plant the seeds of peace for generations to come.
