Dominican Republic Consulate promotes the country as manufacturing leader at Barcelona Health Hub
Barcelona, Spain.- The Dominican Republic’s Consul General, Antonio Gómez, participated in the Barcelona Health Hub event, aimed at attracting international entrepreneurs to explore business opportunities in the Dominican Republic’s health sector. Organized by Miguel Sainz of the digital newspaper Diario Salud, the event highlighted the country’s potential as a leader in high-quality manufacturing, particularly in the production of medical devices.
Lorenzo Sancassani, head of the consulate’s commercial affairs section, emphasized the consulate’s ongoing efforts to promote the Dominican Republic’s advantages through platforms like the Barcelona Health Hub. Paulette Antigua, coordinator of modern investment services at ProDominicana, also presented a conference at the event titled “Investment, Talent and Markets: LATAM’s Potential Driven by Free Trade Agreements.” She focused on the Dominican Republic’s position as a leading medical device exporter in Latin America, highlighting its competitive free trade zone regime, legal stability, and favorable environment for foreign investment.
The event underscored the consulate’s role in generating economic opportunities and promoting the Dominican Republic as a prime destination for manufacturing and innovation, enhancing its global reputation.
