Agents arrest two in Pedernales, seize 11 packs of drugs

Santo Domingo.– Antinarcotics agents in Pedernales arrested yesterday a Dominican and a Haitian while trying to smuggle 11 bales of a plant, presumably marijuana, according to the National Antinarcotics Agency (DNCD ) .

The seizure took place in Pedernales, during an operation in the bi-national market that takes place between Dominicans and Haitians every Monday and Friday.

The DNCD reported that the two detainees were caught while riding a motorcycle without a license, carrying three pillowcases full of drug, with a weight of 73.5 pounds.
