More downpours, flash flood warnings for the east, north central

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) Thursday night issued flash flood alerts on swelled rivers and mudslides for 13 provinces, including the National District.

Meanwhile the National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts more downpours on Friday.

Residents in eastern and north central provinces are under alert on frequent and prolonged downpours.

Onamet said the tropical wave located over Haiti moves slowly west, but will still unleash downpours over the North, Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area.
