High temperatures, humidity, scattered showers continue
Santo Domingo.- Temperatures will continue higher than normal in most of the country as the East-Southeast wind continues dragging humidity, the National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecast Thursday.
It said the wind combined with a low pressure system located southwest of the island, and another low southwest over the Bahamas will bring scattered showers, often heavy and thunderstorms to the border zone, Cibao Valley, Central Mountains and the eastern plain.
For today Thursday Onamet forecasts rains to last for next 24 to 48 hours, while the National District can also expect partly cloudy skies with scattered showers and thunderstorms especially in afternoon.
