Police Strike “hard blows” at micro-trafficking in La Vega

La Vega – Three persons were arrested, and the Police seized 94 portions of different types of drugs in Constanza
Preventive police agents, in their role of guaranteeing order and citizen security, arrested in the municipality of Constanza, La Vega province, three persons for the possession of a total of 94 portions of presumed cocaine, which were hidden inside the vehicle in which they were traveling.

The detainees are Pascual de León, Diana Moreno, 24 years old, and Elizabeth Alcántara, 29 years old, who were driving a white Hyundai car, model Y20, when they noticed the police presence; they tried to flee, so they were arrested.

After carrying out a search of the vehicle, the amount of controlled substances, the sum of RD$17,400 pesos in cash, and several cell phones were seized.

The detainees and the seized items were taken into custody and handed over to the corresponding authorities.

Drug trafficking in the Constanza mountain valley is risky, There is no easy way elude police because of a very limited measure of arteries in and out of the pueblo, arteries that can be sealed off with ease.
