Luis Abinader receives support from the Tourist Taxi Drivers Movement
Luis Abinader invites taxi drivers to work to achieve a resounding victory in the next elections, filling the ballot boxes with votes of hope and development.
Santo Domingo. – The presidential candidate for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Luis Abinader, attended this Saturday morning the swearing-in ceremony and support for his candidacy by the Movement of Tourist Taxi Drivers.
At the event, held at the National Institute of Agrarian Union Training (INFAS), the PRM leader said that he wants the cab drivers of the Dominican Republic to be the most modern in the world, and for this, he said, together with the Ministry of Tourism, they will seek the best company for the creation of software for the benefit of the sector.
He also informed us that, together with the Ministry of Tourism, the Banco de Reservas, and Bandex, they will help finance the most modern vehicles for tourist cab drivers.
During the activity, accompanied by his wife, Raquel Arbaje, he reminded those present of the country’s situation and how tourism, the country’s main productive sector, was affected.
Due to the difficulties that this sector was facing, he said, he was always attentive to analyzing the different measures that could be adopted to reopen tourism.
Among the measures implemented by Abinader, he mentioned the COVID insurance for tourists created by Banreservas Insurance. Also, the creation of promotion of the country in Russia to attract Russian tourists because of the closure of the government of Canada.
“It has been a struggle against difficulties and situations, but every time a problem arose there, we immediately looked for a solution,” Abinader stressed.
Abinader received excellent support.
He highlighted that the Dominican Republic was the first country in the world to recover tourism. He was also happy to see the happiness of the hotel employees and tourist cab drivers at the opening of the hotels, which had been out of business for almost nine months.
He invited all the sworn tourist cab drivers to continue working to achieve a resounding victory in the next elections and to fill the ballot boxes with votes of hope and development.
Opposition betting on Abinader’s failure
Santiago Zamora, president of the National Federation of Tourist Taxi Drivers (FENATRATUR), indicated that the opposition was betting on the failure of Abinader to take the reins of the country amid a pandemic. Still, the PRM leader adopted the necessary measures for the good of the country and the tourist transport sector, opening the country’s doors for the recovery of tourism and the economy.
Likewise, the leader of the tourist cab drivers, Confesor Espinal, described the day as memorable because the president was present for his swearing-in. He expressed that everyone is satisfied with his administration, and that is why they are determined to continue with Abinader for four more years.
Eddy Olivares, vice president of the PRM and the general coordinator of the Movements of Support for Luis Abinader, Juan Rosa, carried out the movement’s swearing-in.
