Ancient Dominican Order rejects ruling granting nationality to 32 Haitians
Santo Domingo.- The nationalist organization Antigua Orden Dominicana (Ancient Dominican Order) has strongly opposed Constitutional Court ruling TC/0067/25, which mandates that the Ministry of the Interior and Police comply with presidential decrees granting Dominican nationality to 32 Haitians. The group claims the decision violates the Constitution and undermines national sovereignty.
Ángelo Vásquez, president of the organization, labeled the ruling an “affront to the nation” and criticized its timing, suggesting it was issued during the “Jet Set tragedy” to divert public attention. He accused attorney Reemberto Pichardo Juan and other supporting legal experts of betraying the country for aiding what he describes as the illegal “Haitianization” of the Dominican Republic.
In an official statement, the organization condemned Dominican lawyers involved in the case, alleging they prioritize personal interests over the nation’s integrity. Vásquez warned that they will remain alert to any actions perceived as threats to national interests, declaring that “the homeland is not for sale or negotiation.”

At this point it is just hatery… Feels like whatever something is done when it involve Haitian, some people will revolt… IF those 32 person should be granted citizenship, that surely means they were in the country LEGALLY and abided by the rules… but yet those people only see “haitian”… If it is not xenophobia then I do not know what it is…
But thankfuly it is just a small marginalized group who will blame every single issue of the DR on the Haitian
No Haitian should be a Dominican citizen! The ones that are here legally only need a permit to work and once they are done they can go back to Haiti!
You my friend are a proud xenophobe. Oh well… Thank God I do not live in a country where people are actually proud of being xenophobic… You do know you role model Trump is not at the office forever and as far as I know only brought white South African and still deport Dominicans from New York and Puerto Rico
I would say you are correct; it does, but that is the issue with uncontrolled immigration, which gives rise to resentment. We see this here in the States under the name of “gentrification.” It is just the opposite, not a high-income but a low-income influx. In Mexico, it is high-income remote workers. I am not saying it is right or wrong, but the rise of the right in DR is the failure of the government’s “ability” to control the border.
Seal the border, problem solved!
They look absolutely FABULOUS in those make-believe military formal get-ups. They should create a new Village People cover band and add another hunk. Way better than the traditional garb of white sheets and hoods with the eyes cut out. You go boys!
