Perelló Cultural Center hosts 1st Southern Regional Congress 2025 in Baní

Baní.- The Perelló Cultural Center hosted the 1st Southern Regional Congress 2025, titled “The Future of Construction in the Dominican Republic,” bringing together top professionals to discuss the sector’s progress, challenges, and opportunities. Organized by the De Los Santos Business Group and the Peravia Provincial Architects Society Inc., the event marked the 32nd anniversary of De Los Santos Pinturas y Más and served as a vital forum for dialogue between public and private sector stakeholders.

The congress opened with remarks from Ramón De Los Santos and Architect Rafael Guzmán, who stressed the need for stronger collaboration in the construction industry. Five keynote speakers addressed diverse and critical topics: Engineer Osiris De León spoke on infrastructure supervision for disaster prevention, while Jean Carlo de Castro emphasized the benefits of digitalizing project management. Engineer Oscar Peralta explored causes of concrete structure failures, and Architect Petrachevsky Ubiera highlighted sustainable design across urban and natural environments. Yoly Yejask Ackerman concluded the session with insights into the future of eco-friendly coatings and paints.
