MIVED confirms structural safety of Jamaca de Dios Restaurant in Jarabacoa
La Vega.- The Ministry of Housing and Buildings (MIVED) conducted a thorough technical inspection of the Jamaca de Dios Restaurant in Jarabacoa after media reports raised concerns about potential structural issues and land instability. The inspection, carried out on May 19, 2025, involved a detailed assessment of the site’s topography and building conditions by engineers Giordano García and Fanny Valerio, along with the restaurant owner José Mendoza and local authorities.
The findings revealed no signs of erosion, ground movement, or structural damage. While minor issues were noted in the terrace area during the initial inspection, a follow-up visit on June 4 confirmed these had been properly addressed according to technical standards.
MIVED concluded that both the restaurant and the land are safe and stable, effectively ruling out any structural risks associated with the property.

Glad to become aware of this recent information. This mountainside restaurant has a reputation of serving a variety of good quality food. The revolving dining room provides its guests with very enjoyable ambiance and view of Jarabacoa.
