Mobility ID denies irregularities in INTRANT public tender
Santo Domingo.- The Mobility ID Consortium firmly rejected recent media reports alleging irregularities and document falsification in the INTRANT-CCC-LPN-2025-0001 National Public Tender, organized by the National Institute of Land Transit and Transportation (INTRANT). The company called the accusations “totally unfounded,” asserting that the bidding process fully complied with all legal and technical requirements established by Dominican authorities.
According to the consortium, the controversy centered on a CLM600 laser printer listed in its technical proposal. Mobility ID explained that both the General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP) and INTRANT received documentary and technical proof from the manufacturers confirming the authenticity of the equipment. The certifying Italian laboratory verified that the printer is produced by GET International FZCO, part of the GET Group, while IXLA SRL only supplies a component—an arrangement common in global manufacturing industries.
The consortium emphasized its members’ international experience in identity and document security systems and reiterated its commitment to transparency, legality, and public trust. It stated that its proposal aims to modernize the Dominican Republic’s driver’s license system by improving document durability, expanding digital services, safeguarding state data sovereignty, and enhancing accessibility. “We will continue to work responsibly and cooperatively with the authorities to strengthen the quality of public service for the Dominican people,” the statement concluded.
