COE warns of dangerous waves on Atlantic coast from Tropical Storm Jerry
Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) issued a warning this Friday about worsening sea conditions along the Dominican Republic’s Atlantic coast due to the indirect effects of Tropical Storm Jerry.
According to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet), the storm will generate dangerous waves starting this afternoon. Authorities have advised operators of small and medium-sized boats to remain in port until conditions improve. Additionally, civil protection teams in coastal areas have been instructed to implement preventive measures to protect fishermen, boaters, and swimmers.
