Club Med celebrates 75 years with major renovation of Punta Cana Resort

Punta Cana.- Club Med, the French pioneer of the all-inclusive vacation concept, marked its 75th anniversary by unveiling major renovations to its iconic Punta Cana resort and announcing new international expansion projects. With nearly 70 resorts across five continents, the company continues to strengthen its global presence through innovation, sustainability, and a focus on guest experience.

The renovation of Club Med Punta Cana, designed by the firm GG&Grace, features redesigned Deluxe Costa del Coco rooms using natural materials, the creation of the panoramic Buena Vista Lounge as the resort’s new social hub, and an elevated culinary experience at the El Mundo Food Club, which offers diverse international cuisines. The updates also include the ocean-view Joia Bar, a tropical-themed Coffee Shop, and eco-conscious design elements that support energy efficiency and local sourcing through the brand’s Happy to Care sustainability program.

Beyond Punta Cana, Club Med is expanding into new markets including South Africa, Malaysia, Canada, and Italy—further solidifying its reputation as a leader in the global all-inclusive tourism industry.
