PUJ earns international recertification for quality and sustainability
Punta Cana.- Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) achieved another milestone in Dominican aviation after receiving international recertification for ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, reaffirming its commitment to quality management and environmental sustainability. The certifications, granted by the Spanish firm AENOR, position PUJ as the only airport in the country that consistently maintains both standards, recognized globally by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
During the ceremony, AENOR’s director in the Dominican Republic, Ariel Espejo, highlighted that the recertification demonstrates the airport’s ability not only to reach excellence but to sustain it over time.
ISO 9001:2015 recognizes PUJ’s efficiency and its continuous improvement in passenger satisfaction and management processes, while ISO 14001:2015 validates its environmentally responsible operations. Since 2014, the airport has cultivated a culture of comprehensive excellence, solidifying its status as a regional model in sustainable and high-quality airport management.
