Russian woman dies after car crashes into light pole
Bávaro.- A Russian woman died on Thursday afternoon after the vehicle she was traveling in crashed into a light pole recently installed by RD Vial along the Boulevard Turístico del Este.
The victim, 39-year-old Mariia Tarasova, was riding as a passenger in a blue Toyota Camry CE, driven by Aleksey Ivanovich Troyan, a 58-year-old Russian citizen who was injured and transported to the Verón public hospital by a 9-1-1 emergency unit.
The crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. in the north–south direction near the Verón–Punta Cana Fire Department intersection. According to early reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing a direct collision with the newly installed pole. Authorities continue their investigation and are carrying out the corresponding procedures.















The works in progress are concrete poll placements in the medians very close to the roadway in each direction is excessive, i,e, two rows, a very risky employment of the polls. One row in center of the medians would be sufficient, 50% less risk to errant vehicles. Tragically, Mariia Tarasova was the first victim of the project. May she RIP.
