Dominican Republic wins silver and bronze at World Robot Olympiad 2025

Singapore.- The Dominican Republic earned a silver and a bronze medal at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) 2025 finals in Singapore, competing among teams from more than 96 countries. The results reinforce the nation’s growing presence in global educational robotics.

The Fire Busters team secured the silver medal in the Future Innovators – Senior category, recognized for the innovation, social impact, and technical quality of their project. With this achievement, the Dominican Republic now ranks 18th worldwide in that division, marking a significant advance for the country’s STEAM development.

Meanwhile, the Cyberbot team achieved the bronze medal in the RoboMission – Junior category, standing out for their strong design, strategy, and programming capabilities.

The Dominican delegation reached the international finals after a demanding national selection process coordinated by WRO Dominican Republic, with events held in Santiago and Santo Domingo and participation from hundreds of students across public and private schools.
