Utility repairs Greater Santo Domingo’s largest aqueduct

Santo Domingo.-  Santo Domingo Aqueduct Utility (CAASD) director Alejandro Montás on Sunday said more heavy equipment and crews were sent repair the damages from the recent heavy rains to Duey-Isa-Mana, Greater Santo Domingo’s largest aqueduct.

He said 19 dump trucks backhoes, bulldozers and 90 workers remove the debris which has blocked the aqueduct’s intakes round-the-clock to resume operations after it was damaged by the swelled Isa and Duey rivers.

He added that 25 additional tanker trucks were hired to deliver water free of charge to the sectors affected by the outage.
