Cemex Ventures seeks construction startups, entrepreneurs

Santo Domingo. – As part of its search of startups and entrepreneurs that want revolutionize the construction industry, Cemex Ventures on Mon. announced the second call for the contest ‘Construction Startup Competition 2018.’

Those interested, who have until June 3 to apply through the Cemex Ventures platform, can participate in four areas: urban development, improving the connectivity of the actors of the construction value chain, development of new sources of financing of projects and new technologies.

The startups with the most promising ideas will be invited to present their project before a jury of experts next July 12 in Madrid. And the finalists will be able to access the network of professionals

Under the slogan “Lead the disruption, join us,” Cemex Ventures, as a collaborative innovation platform and corporate risk capital of Cemex, is committed to helping the startup with the best project by rewarding it with € 3,000.00 to develop the idea.

In the first call of the contest in 2017 the winning project was IPSUM, a collaborative platform for construction project coordination and management based on Lean-BIM methodologies that today is in the end of its second round of investment after the momentum offered by Cemex Ventures focuses on helping to solve the main challenges and areas of opportunity that the construction industry has through sustainable solutions, involving startups, entrepreneurs, universities and other relevant actors to shape the ecosystem of value of tomorrow.
