Some 130 US companies operate across the country

Santo Domingo.- Thereare around 130 companies of American capital scattered across the country in sectorsranging from real estate to mining, according to the Dominican Republic Exportand Investment Center (CEI-RD).

From 2010 to June 2015 thecountry's trade with the US topped US$56.8 billion, for a US$17.2 billion tradedeficit for Dominican Republic, the agency said.
