American Airlines: No changes in Dominican Republic flights

Santo Domingo.- American Airlines, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Tuesday, Wednesday affirmed it will continue operating regular flights to and from Dominican Republic, United States and Puerto Rico.

In a document given to reporters who cover Las Americas International Airport, AA Caribbean Communications area manager Doris Robau, pledged continuing service for people with flights booked for the holiday season. “At the moment American Airlines fliers in Dominican Republic will not see any changes as a result of the company’s situation of bankruptcy.”

She said customers can continue having the same confidence in the carrier and that there’ll be no changes in schedules for the moment. “We’ll continue flying according to our programming, for which we ask our clients to have confidence in our airline.”
