Palace mum as Medina meets with military, police chiefs
Santo Domingo.- President Danilo Medina met yesterday with the heads of the military, the National Police and of Antinarcotics (DNCD) in the National Palace on Monday, but the authorities didn’t disclose the topics.
Armed Forces minister Sigfrido Pared, Navy chief Edwin Dominici, Ruben Paulino, of the Army, Manuel Hernandez, of the Air Force, Manuel Castro, of the National Police, and of the DNCD, Julio Souffront, entered Medina’s office around 4:15pm and left after 6pm, except Castro.
The officials scurried away from the reporters who sought their response on the topics discussed with the Head of State.
Minutes later, Castro appeared, accompanied by a senior officer of the Military Aides-de-camp, bot also dodged the reporters who cover the Palace.
