Valencia, Spain.– Spain’s Civil Guard seized nearly 100 kilos of cocaine smuggled in containers from the Dominican Republic and arrested six on drug trafficking charges, EFE reports today.
According to the Civil Guard, among those arrested was the leader of the organization, who owned several companies engaged in importing containers from South America.
In the operation officials found 176 packages with half a kilo of drugs each, perfectly camouflaged inside the door sills of the containers, EFE reported.
After the confiscation the agents located a warehouse in the province of Toledo (center), where the six traffickers were arrested, four of Spanish nationality and two born in Morocco.
