Colombia to extradite Brit charged with 2 underworld murders

El Seibo, Dominican Republic.- Brit Michael Joseph Murphy, alleged mastermind of the shooting death of two Dutch citizens, found in a mass grave near El Seibo (east), would be extradited in the next few hours after his arrest in Colombia, according to El Seibo prosecutor, Manuel Emilio Santana.

Murphy is wanted by the Dominican Republic on charges of murder, drug trafficking and kidnapping, Santana said.

Murphy, from Liverpool, England, was arrested while trying to board a plane bound for England. He’s wanted in more than 180 countries, according to Antioquia Police deputy commander Javier Morales.

“This is a network of the most dangerous drug traffickers in the world, who do not accept a betrayal or an error committed by their assassin members,” Santana told outlet Diario Libre.

He said Interpol is also seeks two Curacao nationals, who allegedly carried out Murphy’s orders to execute Dutch citizens Rachid Benbouker, 34, and Cuma Ceviz, 36, whose bodies were found in a mass grave in a cane field near El Seibo, on June 19.
