Venezuela govt.-opposition talks extended to Sat.
Santo Domingo.- The talks between Venezuela’s government and the opposition resumed Sat. several minutes behind schedule, headed by Dominican Republic president, Danilo Medina and attended by several representatives from other Latin American nations.
Medina arrived at 9:56am at the Foreign Ministry, to resume the dialogue which seeks an end to Venezuela’s economic and political crisis.
The third round of the dialogue was set to conclude Fri., but Dominican Govt. spokesman Roberto Rodriguez Marchena told the press Fri. night that the parties agreed to extend it to Sat.
Former Spanish president Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero also mediates in the negotiations which began in the Dominican capital in early Dec.
