Trump talks Venezuela with Dominican Republic, region leaders

Palm Beach.- US president, Donald Trump, arrived Friday in Palm Beach, Florida, where he will meet with the leaders of several Caribbean countries, to discuss regional cooperation and the Venezuela crisis.
Trump was greeted by a throng of supporters at Palm Beach International Airport, where he made brief statements to reporters, in the presence of White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Trump then headed to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach to meet with the presidents of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina; of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse; Prime Ministers Hubert A. Minnis, the Bahamas; Andrew Holness, Jamaica, and Allen Michael Chastanet, St. Lucia.
The US president “will use this meeting as an opportunity to thank these countries for their support for peace and democracy in Venezuela,” the White House had said Tuesday.
