Modern situation rooms installed in La Altagracia province
La Altagracia, DR.- The National Emergency Commission (CNE) has initiated the installation of modern situation rooms in the La Altagracia province to enhance the capabilities of the Provincial Prevention, Mitigation, and Response Committees (CPMR).
These situation rooms will be established in 13 provinces to address potential threats arising from various natural or human-induced phenomena that pose risks to the lives and properties of the residents.
This endeavor stems from an initiative that commenced with the donation of technological equipment to the Dominican Government. The donation is part of the actions undertaken by the project titled “Strengthening Capacities to Respond to Humanitarian Crises and Disasters of the National Civil Protection Systems, with an emphasis on urban risk,” sponsored by USAID/BHA.
The execution of this project is overseen by the Coordination Center for the Prevention of Disasters in Central America and the Dominican Republic (Cepredenac), all facilitated through the CNE.
