Dominican Republic Logistics Summit 2024

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic Logistics Summit 2024 (DRLS2024) is scheduled to take place on April 17 and 18 at the El Embajador hotel in Santo Domingo. The primary objective of this summit is to bolster the Dominican Republic’s position as the premier regional logistics hub.

Jointly organized by the Association of Shipowners of the Dominican Republic (ANRD), the General Directorate of Customs (DGA), and the National Trade Facilitation Committee (CNFC), with support from leading sector entities, DRLS2024 aims to underscore the competitive advantages of the Dominican logistics sector. These advantages include strategic geographical positioning, robust maritime, air, and land connectivity, efficient transit times, state-of-the-art logistics infrastructure, manufacturing excellence, economic and social stability, and a reliable legal framework.

The agenda for the Dominican Republic Logistics Summit 2024 will encompass discussions on connectivity, innovation, sustainability, logistics opportunities, and nearshoring, featuring insights from national and international experts. The event will consist of keynote speeches, panel discussions, and a special presentation. A notable segment of the summit will be devoted to the theme “Transforming Tangier, Connecting Continents: The Multilevel Impact of Tangier Med on Global Prosperity,” led by the mayor of Tangier, Morocco, Mounir Lymouri.

Moreover, DRLS2024 presents growth opportunities through facilitating business connections. Attendees will have the chance to engage in business rounds with representatives from significant international and national companies, as well as key players in the Dominican logistics sector. Additionally, the summit will offer visits to top-tier logistics facilities, among other activities.
