MIREX announces 6th edition of Oscar de la Renta Dominican Emigrant Award

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) will hold the 6th edition of the “Mr. Oscar de la Renta Dominican Emigrant Award” on Thursday, November 7, recognizing Dominicans abroad who excel in their fields while maintaining strong ties to their homeland. The ten finalists were selected by a distinguished jury and advisory committee led by Haydee Rainieri and José Luis “Pepín” Corripio.

Finalists include professionals from Switzerland, Belgium, Puerto Rico, New York, Boston, Italy, Texas, and London, in fields such as IT, finance, dentistry, education, and community leadership. One winner will receive a statuette and a one-million-peso award, courtesy of Banco de Reservas.

The awards will be presented at 8:00 pm at the MIREX Convention Center with officials, business leaders, and sponsors, including Banreservas, Grupo Puntacana, Fundación Corripio, and others, in attendance.
