Minister of Interior Tours 911 Emergency System

Santo Domingo.- The National Emergency and Security System 911 hosted Minister of the Interior and Police, Faride Raful, for a tour of its facilities to explore its operational model, technological innovations, and emergency response capabilities. Colonel Pilot Randolfo Rijo Gómez, Executive Director of 911, emphasized the system’s role as a cornerstone of citizen security, driven by inter-institutional collaboration and ongoing process improvements.
The visit included a presentation on 911’s services and tours of critical areas such as Call Reception, Emergency Dispatch, Video Surveillance, the Command Center, and the Drone Unit. These demonstrations showcased the system’s efficiency in ensuring timely responses to emergencies. Minister Raful highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among security institutions and expressed her commitment to data-driven public policies to enhance citizen protection.
