U.S. Marshals visit the DNCD
Santo Domingo.- Ronald L. Davis, Director of the United States Marshals, visited Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa at the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) headquarters. Accompanied by a delegation of senior Marshals officials, Davis toured the renovated DNCD facilities and praised the Dominican Republic’s achievements in extraditing fugitives and combating drug trafficking.
Davis highlighted the nation’s progress in extradition efforts, noting its rise from 10th place in 2020 to 2nd in 2024, a feat that has brought justice to many U.S. families.
The U.S. Marshals delegation also presented a plaque to Cabrera Ulloa, recognizing his partnership in promoting public safety and justice.
The DNCD was lauded for its record-breaking 2024 drug seizures, totaling over 44 tons of narcotics. Vice Admiral Cabrera Ulloa reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to fighting organized crime, crediting the support of President Luis Abinader and the Attorney General’s Office for these accomplishments.
