Duartiano Institute calls for strict measures to limit Haitian births in Dominican hospitals

Santo Domingo.- The Duartiano Institute has called for decisive action against corruption and illegal migration, emphasizing the need for state agencies, including the Directorate General of Migration, the Ministry of Defense, and intelligence services, to act with integrity and prioritize national interests.

The Institute highlighted the urgency of addressing the trafficking of Haitian immigrants, urging adherence to the “zero tolerance” policy promoted by Defense Minister Lieutenant General Carlos Fernández Onofre. It also called on Migration Director Vice Admiral Rafael Lee Ballester to engage with residents of border communities, who have firsthand knowledge of the challenges posed by migration flows.

President Luis Abinader was urged to enforce Article 10 of the Constitution, which declares the development and security of border zones a matter of national interest. The Institute recommended measures to curb the high number of Haitian mothers giving birth in Dominican hospitals, establish economic quotas, and ensure educational authorities regulate school enrollment to prevent Haitian students from outnumbering Dominican children. The statement stressed the need for a comprehensive and balanced approach to managing the Haitian presence in the country.

“Duartiano Institute calls for strict measures to limit Haitian births in Dominican hospitals” Well…. do elaborate. There’s no mention of what measures it recommends…

The only measure that will work is closing the border to human traffic. However, human trafficking at the border is a thriving underground business making it impossible to close it. The mafias control the border.
