Dominican Republic projects regional growth leadership through 2025

Santo Domingo.- Minister of the Presidency José Ignacio Paliza announced that the Dominican Republic is poised to lead regional economic growth in 2024 and 2025. Speaking after the Council of Ministers and General Directors meeting at the National Palace, Paliza highlighted the country’s systematic and gradual development, forecasting a prosperous 2025.

The meeting reviewed progress on government priorities for the 2024–2028 period, including a revamped performance evaluation system for public institutions, set to launch this year. Paliza, who also leads the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), emphasized that this initiative represents significant strides in institutional accountability.

Key government goals include eradicating hunger by 2028 and raising the national average life expectancy from 75 to 77 years. These objectives align with President Luis Abinader’s commitment to advancing sustainable development and improving quality of life in the Dominican Republic.
