First Dominicans repatriated from U.S.

Santo Domingo.- The U.S. government initiated a new mass repatriation of undocumented Dominicans on Monday, deporting 86 individuals through Las Américas International Airport under tight security measures led by ICE. The deportees, who entered the U.S. illegally—primarily via the Mexico-U.S. border—were returned on a flight from Louisiana that landed at 11:19 a.m.
Upon arrival, the General Directorate of Migration and a security contingent escorted the deportees to the Haina Vacation Selection Center in San Cristóbal for registration and reintegration. Some of those deported faced charges of immigration violations and federal crimes while in the U.S.
This repatriation aligns with restrictive migration policies implemented during Donald Trump’s presidency. An estimated 250,000 to 300,000 Dominicans have crossed into the U.S. through the Mexican border in recent years, highlighting the scale of migration driven by the pursuit of better opportunities despite significant risks.

I support Mr. Trump’s policies, this will send a clear message. Now that being said, the Dominican Republic needs to follow the same trend and double down on its own immigration efforts. We need to deport at least 15,000 Haitian migrants per week and imprison or fine anyone who rents homes to illegal migrants. Come on Abinader, grow some balls and apply pressure, this is your golden opportunity.

Let’s welcome them home, the Dominican Republic is a stable democratic country, there is really no need for Dominicans to leave a country with a growing economy, most Dominicans own their own homes, eat 3 times a day more than most middle class Americans.
Let’s not forget the growing middle class, has access to a car if they want one, health care, increasingly reliable electricity. So there’s really no need for any Dominican to leave the country.

Only 86 deportees, what a waist of a plane. Biden has over 1 million prisoners’ who have been scheduled to be deported to 35 various countries. . How many do you think are Dominicans? I hope Trump deports them first as they are costing 100s of millions dollars to feed ad care for them. Get the F34k out of the USA…
