Santo Domingo.- The “Caravana por la Patria 2025”, organized by the Duartiano Institute and antique car clubs, brought history and national pride to the streets of Santo Domingo. The event, celebrating Juan Pablo Duarte’s legacy, featured dozens of classic vehicles, some over 70 years old, traveling from Puerta de San Diego to the Altar de la Patria.

The parade, now an annual tradition, highlighted both Dominican heritage and automotive history. Spectators admired the iconic cars along major avenues, with Duartiano Institute President Wilson Gómez Ramírez emphasizing their role in preserving national identity. The event began with a ceremony in the Colonial City, attended by organizers and classic car enthusiasts.

During the celebration, Gómez Ramírez urged the Dominican government to take a firm stance in upcoming discussions with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is set to visit the country.
