President Abinader confirms death of Montecristi Governor in Jet Set nightclub collapse

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader, who was present at the Jet Set nightclub following the roof collapse early Tuesday, confirmed the tragic death of Montecristi Governor Nelsy Milagros Cruz. Reports indicate that the governor was at the event and later died at Plaza de la Salud, where she had been rushed for treatment after sustaining injuries.

The Emergency Operations Center (COE) has updated the official toll, now reporting 15 deaths and 101 injuries from the incident. Rescue efforts are ongoing as authorities continue to manage the aftermath of the disaster.
