JCE presents new ID card project

Santo Domingo.- On Wednesday, the Central Electoral Board (JCE) presented the progress and key features of its new Identity and Electoral Card project to the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) and the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP) in separate meetings.

JCE President Ramón Jáquez emphasized the importance of engaging with various sectors of society to ensure the transparency and efficiency of the Dominican Republic’s identification and electoral systems. He highlighted that the new identity card will be more durable and easier to update.

Américo Rodríguez, Director of Identity Documentation, also addressed the business leaders, noting that the new ID will include features designed to strengthen the business environment and offer numerous collaboration opportunities, which will benefit the country as a whole.
