New Russian Ambassador to the Dominican Republic prioritizes trade and bilateral cooperation

Santo Domingo.- Russia’s new ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Alexei Viktorovich, has expressed a strong interest in enhancing bilateral trade and improving the trade balance between the two countries. On Monday, he met with members of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) in the Chamber of Deputies, including legislative president Alfredo Pacheco.

During the meeting, Viktorovich described the Dominican Republic as a strategic regional partner and emphasized Russia’s intention to expand trade relations and explore investment opportunities. He highlighted key sectors for collaboration, including tourism, education, agricultural technology, and general commerce.

The ambassador reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to pursuing mutually beneficial agreements and strengthening diplomatic ties with the Dominican Republic.

The embassador was a announced already, it just take time for the US Congress to do their job. But I agree with, we need to be pragmatic and trade with everyone.
