Dominican Republic to host 2025 Postal-Customs Strategic Meeting

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic will host the 2025 Postal-Customs Strategic Meeting, a high-level regional event scheduled for June 11-12 in Punta Cana. Organized by the Dominican Postal Institute (INPOSDOM), the event will bring together 29 countries to strengthen collaboration between postal operators and customs administrations in the region.

Sponsored by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the Postal Union of the Americas, Spain, and Portugal (UPAEP), the meeting will focus on modernizing the logistics and postal system to address challenges like e-commerce, digital transformation, and operational security.

The meeting also aims to tackle the challenges of digital trade, harmonize international standards, and enhance data usage to improve postal service efficiency, traceability, and supervision.
