National Bonsai Exhibition returns to Ágora Mall for fourth edition

Santo Domingo.- The Japanese Embassy and the Native Bonsai Club will host the National Bonsai Exhibition from Thursday, July 10 to Sunday, July 13, aiming to promote environmental awareness and responsible habits to protect the planet and its biodiversity.

The exhibition, held at Ágora Mall, will feature 58 bonsai trees representing native, endemic, and introduced species. In addition to the display, the four-day event will include six workshops and lectures on bonsai techniques, Japanese calligraphy, origami, and fashion—offered both in the morning and afternoon.

Roberto Sandro Rivera, president of the Native Bonsai Club, underscored that bonsai trees symbolize patience, harmony, and respect for all life. He hopes the exhibition will inspire deeper reflection on the importance of protecting natural resources and preserving the environment across the Dominican Republic.
