Dominican and Colombian Defense Ministers strengthen regional security cooperation

Santo Domingo.- Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre, Dominican Republic’s Minister of Defense, welcomed his Colombian counterpart, Pedro Arnulfo Sánchez Suárez, for an official visit focused on strengthening bilateral defense ties and regional security collaboration.

Held at the Ministry of Defense headquarters, the meeting addressed key issues including combating transnational threats, sharing operational experiences, joint training programs, and enhancing institutional capabilities. Both leaders emphasized the importance of a cooperative agenda to tackle security challenges, promote regional stability, and support sustainable development.
