Santo Domingo.- The nationalist organization Antigua Orden Dominicana (Ancient Dominican Order) launched a march to the National Congress to demand stronger, patriotic responses to the Haitian migration crisis and its economic and social impacts.
The group opposes granting work permits to undocumented Haitian migrants, arguing that such measures primarily benefit the business sector while undermining national sovereignty. They also advocate for removing tariffs and taxes on agricultural and construction machinery to reduce reliance on undocumented labor.
During the demonstration, members submitted a formal document to Congress calling for a firm and sovereign immigration policy to protect Dominican identity. The group described their action as an urgent defense of national sovereignty against what they view as efforts to “surrender the country.”

They can protest. If one complains he should have remedy ideas. What can the Ancient Dominican Order do to obtain replacements for the undocumented in order to help commerce go forward?
