61% of Dominicans want cabinet changes, survey finds
Santo Domingo.- A recent national survey by Data Marketing Dominicana reveals that 61.7% of Dominicans believe President Luis Abinader should replace some members of his government team. As his second term marks its first anniversary, public sentiment reflects a desire for renewal and improved performance in public administration.
Only 8.5% support minor cabinet adjustments, and just 2.5% favor keeping the current team unchanged. Meanwhile, 27.3% of respondents were undecided or chose not to answer. Views on the efficiency of government officials are mixed: 43% consider them efficient or very efficient, while 29% rate them as “not very efficient,” and 14% view them as outright inefficient.
Despite this, President Abinader enjoys strong overall approval, with 68% of respondents rating his performance positively. As for the national outlook, 45% believe the country is in good or very good condition. However, public concern remains high over key issues such as crime and insecurity (22%), the cost of food (20%), and unemployment (14%).
