Tropical Storm Erin poses no threat to Dominican Republic, says INDOMET
Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) reported that Tropical Storm Erin currently poses no threat to the Dominican Republic due to its distance and location. As of Tuesday, the storm was situated 1,105 km west of the Cape Verde Islands, moving west at about 35 km/h with sustained winds near 75 km/h.
INDOMET assured the public that the storm’s progress is being closely monitored and noted that Erin is expected to gradually strengthen in the coming days, but it does not currently endanger the country.
